Incidentally, the "Onepapa" note is actually misnamed for the Oncpapa Tribe of the Sioux Nation.
The Series 1899 $5 Chief is the only United States currency to feature a Native American as the central figure.
This is one of the all time favorite large size notes most prized by collectors because of it's beauty and affordability,
although in recent years we have seen the price of $5 Chiefs in better grades increase greatly.
